Director Zach Weintraub

The International Sign for Choking depicts the day-to-day encounters of Josh, a would-be expatriate from the US living in Buenos Aires for the second time. While his primary purpose seems to be the production of a vaguely defined video project, he devotes more of his time to tracking down a mysteriously absent ex-girlfriend. American housemate, and Roger, a local musician.

AN OVERSIMPLIFICATION OF HER BEAUTY

Directed by Terence Nance

You do, however, have one cause for mild optimism: you seem to have captured the attention of an intriguing young lady. You’ve rushed home to clean your apartment before she comes over. In your haste, you see that you’ve missed a call. There’s a voice mail; she tells you that she won’t be seeing you tonight.

CINEMA SIX

Directed and Writers Mark Potts & Cole Selix

Cinema Six resembles a movie theater-set version of “Office Space” with the same kind of raunchy humor and quarter-to-mid-life ennui.” “Lead actor John Merriman... handles comedy and drama with equal ease and the whole cast delivers with a fair share of absurd comedic moments.”

OK, Good

Director Daniel Martinico

A struggling actor spirals ever downward during the grueling process of trying to find steady work.
A riveting portrait of an actor on the verge of a nervous breakdown -- or, quite possibly, something worse... Armstrong [gives] a rigorously controlled performance that suggests the human equivalent of a ticking time bomb.” - Joe Leydon, Variety
