Breakup Season Wraps

Over the past few weeks Industry Professionals visited La Grande to bring a feature film idea, seeded at The Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency in 2021, to life. Principal photography for BREAKUP SEASON wrapped Friday, February 25 on a fifteen day shoot leaving cast, crew and community vibrating with creative and economic vigor.

Big thanks to the collaborators, co-creators, movers, and shakers that assisted in ensuring the successes of this production during their time in our community.

Incoming Cohort and Residency Update

The Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency Program will welcome a new cohort at the end of April and our crew is looking for assistance in providing essential services and support for our new visiting artists. Part of our goal is to shelter and feed these creatives, giving them all the space to work, be inspired, collaborate, and manifest awesome art in and around our Grande Ronde Valley. Here’s how we do it.

1. Donate to the Feed a Filmmaker Fund – the is how we support their meals while introducing them to all our cool restaurants and food vendors. Make your local dinging recommendation now! DONATE A MEAL

2. Volunteer to be part of a weekly support crew, to help accommodate some group downtown dinners, and great outdoor adventures. Sign up here and we’ll reach out.

3. Help wrangle some large Corporate Industry Sponsors – if you know of, or work within the Oregon Film Industry and you think your boss would love to support the Residency and provide information / resources to our guests as they develop these projects…

Call For Entries #EOFF2023

Our festival will celebrate its FOURTEENTH rendition this OCTOBER 19-21, 2023. The festival is seeking submissions. Early bird deadline ends soon, for all dates and deadlines find the submission portal and get your goodies to us no later than June 18 for consideration at this years festival. Screenings

Friday, March 3 at HQ in La Grande we will be screening YELLING FIRE IN AN OPEN THEATER as another step towards ongoing programming at The Liberty Theater, when available. Doors open at 7:30pm and film will start at 8:00pm. Get tickets and learn more here.
