Are you ready for an awesome summer project! The La Grande Summer Film Project 2024 is calling out to middle school and high school students along with community members and media professionals in La Grande and the region to embark on a thrilling journey into the world of filmmaking! 🎥✨

What’s the Buzz? Taking place August 1st – August 16

Spend a few summer weeks creating, producing, and showcasing your very own short films alongside industry professionals. We’ll meet as a group for a couple of days a week and they disperse to work on project – culminating in a downtown outdoor public screening on the August 16th.

🌟 Learn from the Pros: Get hands-on experience and guidance from seasoned filmmakers. Dive into the exciting worlds of screenwriting, storyboarding, camera magic, lighting tricks, sound sorcery, and editing wizardry.

🎬 Be a Director: Ever wanted to call the shots? Now you can! Direct your own film and see your vision come to life on the big screen.

🤝 Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Team up with fellow students, make new friends, and create movie magic together.

🌟 Showcase Your Work: Wrap up your journey with a grand finale – a community screening of your completed films. Share your stories with family, friends, and the La Grande community.

How Does It Work?

Week 1: Dive into pre-production with lessons in filmmaking basics, form your teams, and plan your cinematic masterpiece.
Week 2: Lights, camera, action! Get behind the lens and bring your stories to life with guidance from industry pros.
Week 3: Take your films to the next level with post-production magic. Edit, fine-tune sound, and perfect your work of art.
Grand Finale: Share your films with the world at a community screening event that will leave you feeling like a Hollywood star!
