Eastern Oregon Film Festival Announces 2025 Music Lineup: Three Nights of Live Music & Parties at HQ
Eastern Oregon Film Festival (EOFF) is thrilled to unveil the official music lineup for its sixteenth annual event, taking place October 16–18, 2025 in historic downtown La Grande. Each night after the final film credits roll, HQ will come alive with genre-spanning live music from some of the Pacific Northwest’s most engaging and innovative performers.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16
James Dean Kindle and His Country Combo

Opening the music program is Eastern Oregon’s own James Dean Kindle, bringing a genre-blurring set of cowboy trail songs, western swing, and experimental country stylings. Backed by His Country Combo—featuring pedal steel, acoustic bass, and percussion—Kindle’s sound is equal parts honky-tonk heartbreak and high desert poetry. His latest release, Trail Mix, celebrates both the Western landscape and the complex terrain of the human heart.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
Night Heron

Hailing from Portland, Night Heron delivers dreamy synth-laced ballads wrapped in whispery vocals and lush textures. Described as a soundtrack for the sleepless and the soul-searching, their debut album Instructions for Night is a masterclass in soft-spoken emotional power. Fronted by Cameron Spies (formerly of Radiation City), this ensemble brings together seasoned talent from Y La Bamba, Reptaliens, and more—offering a bittersweet sonic experience perfect for a festival nightcap.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18
Thrown-Out Bones

Closing out the festival with a high-octane punch is San Francisco’s powerhouse duo Thrown-Out Bones. With eight cross-country tours and 15+ years of chemistry, this act melds swaggering rock, jazzy tension, and funky grooves into an explosive performance led by vocalist/drummer Liliana Urbain and guitarist Nick Chang. With added bass and keys, their latest tour brings a deeper soundscape—and the same untamed energy fans have come to expect.
Festival Director Christopher Jennings shared:
“Each year we curate a lineup that reflects the diverse, independent spirit of EOFF. This year’s music program continues that tradition—offering attendees a chance to gather, dance, and connect after a day of powerful storytelling on screen. This year’s music line-up was curated by musician Bart Budwig, EOFF is thankful for the collaboration, further enriching our programming range”
All music performances are included with an All-Access Festival Pass or available as standalone tickets at the door (space permitting). Come for the films, stay for the vibe.
Early bird festival passes available for purchase now, standalone tickets available in September.
