Eastern Oregon Film Festival Announces First After-Party Musical Guest: ‘low-fi’
The Eastern Oregon Film Festival (EOFF) is thrilled to announce that the opening night after-party of #EOFF2023 will feature the rock music wonder of ‘low-fi,’ hailing from Boise, Idaho. The event will take place on October 19, 2023, at EOFF’s headquarters located at 112 Depot Street, as part of the three-day cinematic extravaganza in La Grande, Oregon.
‘Low-fi,’ a five-piece band known for their smooth melodic style of alternative/indie rock with elements of folk, progressive rock, and funk, is set to captivate the festival’s audience with their unique sound. Founded in 2007 by Todd Sloan (guitar/vox) and Josh Gilmore (bass), the band has evolved over the years with the additions of Kevin Alspach (drums) in 2011, Fernando Flores (guitar) in 2016, and Tomek Zajaczkowski (keys) in 2020.
Their discography boasts the critically acclaimed LPs “Where You Are” (2007) and “After All This Time” (2011). ‘low-fi’ has left their sonic imprint on popular television networks like CW’s “One Tree Hill” and Showtime’s “the big C.” Their live performances on Seattle’s KEXP and KRBX Radio Boise, along with numerous shows across the Pacific NW, have solidified their musical prowess.
With their latest release “Mindset” dropping on October 12, 2019, ‘low-fi’ promises an unforgettable performance to kick off the Eastern Oregon Film Festival. Passholders will have exclusive access to tickets, while stand-alone tickets will be available on the night of the event.
